Justine Humphreys on the call to live an original life

It’s the start of a new year, and a good time to reflect on the call to live an original life.

I spend a lot of time pondering my purpose. Assessing pro’s and con’s of options. Brainstorming ideas with trusted friends and mentors. None of these things are bad, but I have to confess to at times not prioritizing my time with God personally and listening to him instead of spending hours in my own thoughts and plans.

The originality of who you are is discovered in who created you. I think God is far more interested in who we are – in us cultivating our relationship and reliance on Him, rather than in what we do. Purpose begins in relationship. Your call to live an original life will always come out of walking alongside God. And it will always be an adventure if you trust him in it.

We are all called to something, what are you called to?
