Dr Brian Harris
Dr Brian Harris, is a highly regarded author, internationally renowned theologian, pastor and teacher. Brian has served as the Principal of Vose, as well as the Head of the Department of Ministry and Practice since 2004.
South-African born Brian has enjoyed a ministry and career that has included serving as a Senior Pastor in Auckland, New Zealand while lecturing at both Carey Theological and Laidlaw College. He serves on the Board of Directors at Australian College of Theology, (ACT) Vose’s accrediting body and is also a Director of Christian Schools Australia. Currently, Brian is the Pastor at Large for the Carey group of churches and schools, Principal and Head of Ministry and Practice at Vose.

Dr Graeme Cross
Dr Graeme Cross is a former school principal. His research in to the role of Christian Schools has been awarded for excellence by Edith Cowan University. Graeme brings rigour to all Vose’s teaching and learning approaches, and shapes future vision by expanding the programs Vose offers.

Jon Bergmann is the Director of Vose Training. Since joining Vose in early 2017 he has been part of upgrading the online learning program, initiating an upgrade of all the VET courses and finding new and exciting ways to bring life to theological, ministry and leadership training.

Lloyd Porter served as a missionary in Russia for 15 years and continues to visit Siberia regularly teaching and training in OM Russia’s discipleship training school.
Lloyd is working towards a PhD that explores the dynamics in leadership transitions from Western founders to emerging national leaders.

Kerry Puzey re-joined the team at Vose at the end of 2018. Kerry brings a wealth of expertise from the corporate sector, business and administration to the team at Vose. She is passionate about fostering healthy and aspirational teams to meet targets and bring about flourishing organisations.

Michael is the director of Vose Research and head of the Christian Thought Department. He has studied at, and been an active member of, Vose since the late 1990s. Before commencing at Vose Michael served in various churches large and small for twenty years, in team pastor, sole pastor, and senior minister roles.”

Dr David Cohen
Dr David Cohen has been head of biblical studies at Vose since 2004. He is an internationally renowned author, theologian and pastor who specialises in the Hebrew Bible.

Dr Michael Kok
Michael Kok came to Australia in January 2018 to take up the position of New Testament Lecturer and Dean of Student Life at Vose Seminary. He is a New Testament expert, and has published extensively on the early reception of Mark. He has a background in serving on teams in pastoral roles, and brings his previous experience in youth ministries to the student life at Vose.

Aaron joined the team at Vose in 2019 bringing a wealth of expertise to the Vose Training team with a background as an adjunct trainer, and over eight years of theological study. With a background in pastoral ministry, and a PhD recently submitted, Aaron brings both practical experience and academic clout to both the unit development and teaching aspects of his role. Aaron enjoys playing basketball, reading, creative pursuits including graphic design and music and gardening.

Dr Carolyn Tan lectures in New Testament and Greek. Her first career was as a Paediatric Surgeon in Singapore.

Scott lives in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, and works as a consultant, educator and writer, with a particular focus upon social justice and ethics from a Christian faith-based perspective. Scott worked for Baptist World Aid Australia for 10 years. Prior to this he served as Pastor of Edgeworth Baptist Church.
Scott has an undergraduate degree in theology from Moore Theological College, Sydney; a Masters in Theology through Morling Theological College, Sydney; and a Graduate Certificate in Social Change and Development from Newcastle University, Newcastle Australia.
Dr Evelyn Ashley
Evelyn Ashley is a Western Australian who has lived, not only in the Perth metropolitan area, but also in the Kimberley, the Goldfields, the Wheatbelt, the Pilbara, and the Peel regions, and currently resides in Canberra. She is a graduate of Vose Seminary and Murdoch University, with her doctoral thesis being on “Paul’s Paradigm for Ministry in 2 Corinthians”. She has more than a decade of experience in lecturing in New Testament and Koine Greek, as well as has many years’ experience in church life, both as a pastor and as a lay leader. As a person who lives with a disability, she feels strongly about access and opportunity being available to people with disabilities. In addition to lecturing she enjoys, patchwork and quilting, reading science fiction and fantasy, and playing with her two Bernese Mountain Dogs.

Dr Richard Moore has been involved in Vose in different capacities since 1974. In retirement, he continues as a research fellow with Vose Seminary, publishing in the fields of New Testament and church history.

Dr. John Olley
Dr John Olley joined the faculty in 1978 and served as principal from 1991 to 2003. He oversaw the transition from Murdoch University to affiliation with the Australian College of Theology. In retirement, he continues as a research fellow and chair of the Vose College Academic Board.

Bridget Barry represents Vose at Theological Library Association conferences. She also manages Voses’s epic annual second-hand book-sale, calling on a small army of volunteers through the year.

Nathan Hobby is an award-winning author who has worked at Vose since 2008 and is currently part-time librarian responsible for collection development, ebooks, and special collections. He is the co-editor of Vose Seminary at Fifty: From ‘Preach the Word’ to ‘Come Grow’ (2013) and the author of the T.A.G. Hungerford Award winning novel, The Fur (2004). He is writing a biography of the Australian novelist Katharine Susannah Prichard for his PhD thesis at UWA.

Our administrative and support staff provide critical services to both students and staff.
Having been educated in both Australia and Papua New Guinea, Brenda assists students with the enrolment process and guides them through a new environment.

Daniel joined the team at Vose in 2014 and has served in a number of different capacities. Currently he is bringing a high degree of energy and capability to the Vose Training team. He holds a BA in Biblical Studies.

Hannah joined the team at Vose in early 2019. A New Zealander with serious administration skills and a sense of humour to match, Hannah brings warmth and a strong presence to our office. She holds a Diploma of Fashion Design.
In retirement Chris Ellery makes himself available to students for conversation, prayer and encouragement. New students can contact Chris through the office.
John ensures the day to day maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful grounds and buildings, also assisting with the many events and activities that happen at Vose throughout the year.

Position Vacant: Business Development Officer NSW 0.6 FTE
This role is responsible for the development and implementation of Vose Training courses in New South Wales, in partnership with Morling College. The role includes a high level of networking, liaising with churches, not for profits and other key organisations in order to build up the reputation of Vose Training in NSW, and to generate new student enrolments into all courses. The role will also carry with it a component of content development and training (preferably in the leadership and management department) and will also include a level of leadership in regards to the NSW training team.
